2009/12/23 Lemmings defeat Lord Marrowgar!
I logged in for some relaxed mailchecking and auctionhousing and I was instantly ninja-invited into the guilds' Icecrown Citadel raid. Proudly we worked ourselves through endless heaps of trash, and then we stood and faced Lord Marrowgar...
First attempt, we got to 90% or thereabouts. Second attempt, 85%. Third attempt: 27%!
Strengthened by our steady progress we called in the help of our pets. Well.. that attempt didn't go so well 
The fifth attempt however yielded results.... drumroll
Victory!

This passive ability really shone this encounter. There were a couple times I ate a full Sabre Lash from Marrowgar and died. But oh joy!! Ardent Defender kicked in

yeah I noticed that too, Spit. A few times, when one healer was spiked and the other out of range I think we were saved by that ability. On the whole we took a long time downing him. Hopefully for the future we will be a bit smoother.

I've read somewhere that unless your group ain't donned in all 25-man gear from Ulduar/ToC, you'd be ready to face a steep learning curve. Seeing it this way, we did a hell of a job. We downed him on our 5th try!
Ofcourse we will down him faster as we will know the fight and we will get better gear from ICC 5-mans and the new Frost badges
