Is there any need for it ??
Just logged on to see how you guys went on in Uldar tonite and read with some dismay, how some people are airing there views about certain ways some of you feel the lemmings are handling certain raid invites or apointments. and just wanted to add a few points.
As most of you will know i hardly ever post on the site and ive been a lemming over 2 years ! so me wanting to about certain issues is a big thing for me.
A few points:
1. this is suppose to be a social site where we all come along and hav fun and basically meet new freinds and old, and spend some time relaxing in gaming mode, it just seems 'some' people tend to air there views in a rather abrupt manner...and i dont feel that seems fair..!
2. i had a small problem with an invite issue less than a month ago, i sensibly posted a private note to the GL (Neti) and got a message back explaining my issue.. no problem and very polite response too..
3. i didnt rant and rave about the way things were run,! like some seem to be doing lately, and take into consideration what Neti and most of the elected officers do for us as lemmings..how many of us would give up our spare time to run a guild as proffesionally as they do ?? how many would want to read and take the abuse that they dont need ??
4. how come since Wilgje handed over leadership???? there seems to be certain elemants trying to upset, argue, or air there veiws on the pages of this website when all u hav to do for a calm plesant responce is post a private message to an officer, who would generally get back to you within 24 hours explaining the rule we may or may not know.
Please guys... lets try and keep things pleasant !!
we are all here for 1 main reason, to hav fun and enjoy our gaming time..
sorry if my post upsets anyone but please think before you air your veiws so abussively, is there any need for it??

He's a spark, they dont do any work
Just make sure your work
Just make sure your work area is free of dust and breadcrumbs and I'm satisfied
Re: my blog
OMG ..Now everyones gonna blame me for Wilgje coming back
( only joking
) Ary's right thou, I've already started polishing up my work area
I think it's a good thing
Edit: I just saw wilgje said the same in a much better way. Was to shocked when I saw the (maybe) comeback.

I think this post is really
I think this post is really sweet Jack. It shows the heart you have for the guild.
As far as raid invites.. well, I discussed this at length with Neti. I think everyone knows that it's a tough job and a lot of stress to keep a guild running smoothly, even *without* the invite system that we have. Our invite system is a prime example of the ideology behind the guild, and it can only work if there is someone who believes in it enough to keep maintaining it. Neti has pretty much been faithfully maintaining it for 3 years, and there have been so many choices made along the way to make sure the system would still work in new/unknown circumstances, it's been difficult to keep proper record of it in one place on the site.
While I know Neti, and trust him to be very conscientious and consistent in his applying of the rules to the invite system, I *do* understand that sometimes, questions arise on rules that were not documented but are still applied. We don't want guild leadership to seem corrupted (or heavens forbid, become corrupted). The best way to keep a healthy and fair system is if people will keep an eye on the situation and prevent things from running unchecked. Discussion is healthy; it prevents mistakes being made.
However, we want Lemmings to be a civil game environment, not just ingame, but also on the website. While I will be the first admit to sometimes having had a temper, it is not good to post comments in an inflammatory way. Sending a private message- it depends on the situation. Sometimes things just need to be discussed in public to avoid having things get 'swept under the rug'. Open discussion can protect the guildie as well as the guild leadership, after all.
Anyway, I can only echo the "let's keep things pleasant"
And I hope everyone will keep up the Lemmings atmosphere as we had it when I was still playing. (I think I can safely say that I plan to come back in a few months, and I don't want to go back to a guild I really don't recognise
)

OMG Jack...now look what you've done
We'll have to tidy up and everything
Nah I'll have to work my way
Nah I'll have to work my way through the ranks, fair is fair
So I'll submit to whatever the guild is then.
If you are talking about the
If you are talking about the raid invite priority thing, Jack, I disagree. It was correct for those to bring their concerns to the guild in general. I was going to sign up for that raid but felt unable to do so, and a little bit miffed considering the amount of "progression" raids I have attended where no such priority was ever given. Thing is I just couldnt be bothered to bring it up as I am pretty easy going and about 5 secs afterwards forgot the whole thing and realised I could watch my NFL uninterrupted. lol
I do agree with you in principal Jack, but I think this must already happen quite a lot. This forum has far less venom flying around it than other guild forums I have been active in.

Well Jack, with regards to
Well Jack, with regards to recent events, sometimes things that are done for the best of intentions don't always work out that way. The lesson is in the way they are resolved
You are right though, we are all here to have fun, and Lemmings is a place where we say our piece and make out points without shouting, something I think all of us do quite well
