Getting to know you (but without a crazed Yul Brynner)
Well last night i took a late adventure with three of our newest guildies Ginanh, Avallach and Maitia to the forgotten ruins of the Sunken Temple cushioned deep with in the aquatic boosom of the Pool of Tears in the murky, and sometimes even petrifying Swamp of Sorrows. 4 brave Night Elves crossed into the maze like structure peterbed by no foul beast, slime or troll, living or dead.
The brave warriors stood before a mighty blue torrent looking deep into the heart of this corrupted, desolate building remembering the glory of it's once rich and wonderous past as a place of worship. Bravely they crossed the threshold knowing of the impending horrors that awaited them in this fallen sanctuary. The group fought bravely taking first the trolls that kept their foul magical grip over the temple and concealing their master, each falling to blade, bow and magic. Next the warriors came across a mighty puzzle of stone statues which prooved no match for their combined intellect. Not even the now revealed relic's guardian Atal'alarion prooved a match for the combined skill of the 4.
A mighty battle was next to ensue with the band of brothers destroying wave after wave of corrupted dragonkin each more foul than the last. Tired, the group fought on clearing an annex of foul, zombified trolls, their priest allies and the haunting ghosts that remained after death. Finally the corrupter was found. The malevolant Jammal'an the "prophet" and his wretched creation of undeath Ogom. They too were no match and upon their death subsequently summoned the aid of the sickening Dreamscythe and Weaver two of their most powerful dragonkin, warrior allies. These monstrosities also fell to blade and spell allowing the group to move and defeat the remaining beings of corruption.
The warriors, weary but full of heart now stood before the remains of the once great and terrifying Hakkar, fabled as god even beyond the grave. Wave after wave of his sepentine allies, and dragonkin fearing of what we were about to unleash poured in but their blood was shed and the braziers extinguished revealing the decreiped, but once glorious Hakkar once again. He threw every trick he had to destroy the group but their heart overcame once again cleansing another corruption from the temple.
This only left the monsterous Shade who's very presence, fear enducing with his two strongest bodyguard Morphaz and Hazzas. The two mighty guard fought well and hard but could not protect their master from what was coming. The Azure Key was once again claimed and the quests complete albheit the one last corruption to the sacred ruin.
Tentitavely, they stepped forward remembering tales of the sickening beast, for this foul entity took sick pleasure in the demise of his enemies through peaceful slumber. The group were at their last straw, tired bruised and beaten with only one factor spurring them on. The light of the fair Elune. The band through everything they could at the beast which to an onslaught of furious blows, waves of hailing arrows and a lashing of magic from mother nature itself.
And their the warriors stood. Their quest finally at an end with the charred remains of Eranikus at their feet. Tales would be sung and praises given as the four stood wondering. Would they be remembered or discarded. Elated or sadened. But most importantly, thanked for their unselfish deeds. Many would scorn and battles would be fought. Many would fight alongside in awe. But all this was another story for another time as their Hearthstones rang out into a now empty, but pure temple.
Thank you my band of brothers. I shall never forget

At our previous (before we joined LotL) visit in ST we cleared only half of it, before Jammal's guard feared Ginanh and he run into the rest of the guards ;/. This time, grouped with Cutandpase, we did much better: Nelvish Nightmares(tm) kicked evil's ass! \o/
Huge thanks to Exo!
