Some rules?
All speech to be done in raid chat, it not only helps everyone to follow whats going on, but hopefully the quieter people will speak and join in, and it stops outside people calling everyone a newb
The GM is basically the story teller, they don't join in and solve puzzles, but more guide people along the right path - they're not their just to be asked questions and give answers, thats for the actors in the story.
Its best if the roleplay actors were 60+ just so they don't die accidentally Attendees should be 30+, 40 might be good just for mounts, but then someone is bound to roleplay being poor and not having one Anything higher than 50 and I say we gimp em a bit
I think it'd be great if you cant corpse run but have to be rezzed.

The Roleplay
As I see it the GM will flesh the story out some more and each actor will flesh out their part, as long
as it follows the bare bones of the story - so they'll just need to give a bit of background to the GM so everyone doesn't get lost
Note, actors dont have scripts to follow but just a character to play out.

For example, theres a Bar maid character, she knows a how to cure a disease one of the other actors is suffering from,
but doesn't like him so wont give the recipe to him. The roleplayers have to get the recipe.

To flesh this out, you could for example be a female bar maid who is very vain and flirty, the more compliments you recieve
the more likely you will give out the recipe.
Or you could be a male bar maid in an identity crisis walking around in a skirt, the roleplayers would have to sooth you
telling you you look great in a dress before giving out the recipe.

You can take this as far as you wish, just remember, in this case, the roleplayers will have to get the recipe in the end!
But you could add some history to the character, have a look around wowwiki for where your character will be, go visit
and note down some npc names around and about to add to your chat.

The Story.
Here are the bare bones, we can flesh this out more together, quite happy to chop and change things for better ideas.

We start in Ironforge, the GM tells the tale of whats going on...

There was a party travelling to Dalaran lead by the Captain of the Westfall Guard,
but they got caught in a storm and lost their way... they were attacked... the Captain heroically fended the attackers off
and everyone fled, and he hasnt been seen since.
The Captains father has been looking for a group of heroes to find out what happened to his son.
You have been given that task, the only thing known is a Private with the party made it back alive, he's gravely ill in the Keep
Seek out him out.

Actor 1:
Private.
Westfall Keep.
Is Ill.
Knows what happened, he wasnt the only one to survive, he abandoned 2 people in Arathi to bring word to the Keep.

Make way to Arathi.

Actor 2:
Noble man.
Arathi mountains somewhere, maybe the Keep there.
Knows of the coward who ran away without helping defend anyone, the drunken fool can be found in Southshore.

Actor 3:
Drunk
Southshore inn.
He thinks it was all his fault, everyone else thinks the same, he told them to go that way saying it was safe. He knows
of a caster type, who was sent mad by one of the attacking shaman, hes in Silverpine Forest with some wizards.

Actor 4:
Madman
Silverpine Forest.
Hes barking mad, totally loopy. Knows the Captain was dragged off to Shadowfang Keep.

Actor 5:
Captain (best played by a class that can stealth so they dont have to clear the instance!)
Shadowfang Keep.
Held captive.
Must be rescued, leads party on to kill boss as revenge.
