Lemmings of the Light

As some of you might know, not too long ago I've passed for my driving exame and got my driverslicence. So now that I had that nice pink card, the next step was to find a car. Asking my uncle to look into it, as he is a car mechanic and the 2nd hand car buisiness can be tricky. So he did and searched for a suitable car.

So tonight was the second and final day of Blizzcon 2010 with a lot of Cataclysm panels in Q&A style. The kickoff was with a panel about how they made the awesome cataclysm trailer and the world premier for the Worgen race cinamatic. Very awesome to see how they work together in designing Deathwing and how and what he can destroy in the cinamatic. To my suprise it costs them a full year to design the cataclysm cinamatic.

Next up was the WoW class Q&A. Nothing really much that stands out here, though they are aware of some ballencing issues in regards to the tallent tree. Many coomplains about the small choises you have in your tallents, but they have said that they will look into things and balance them out once they have long time data to see where the problems arise and if they stay. They have also said that the rogue tree combat will be made a competing spec again.

As some of you may know, Blizzcon 2010 started yesterday and I ordered my virtual ticked already quite some time ago. As in the title says night, simply because Blizzcon was following PST time. So when Ghostcrawler said good morning everyone in the opening ceremony, here it was 8 pm. Joined by my girl friend we watched most of the happening of the evening. The greatest suprice for me was that my GF, who doesn't like games at all, now actually wants to buy Diablo 3 when it hit's the shelves. o_0

Ulduar, the Great Titan City, hidden deep within the Storm Peaks. When it was discovered, many went there to lay siege on the city and defeat the Old God that rests there: Yogg-Saron. Amongst the brave to enter the great city where the Heroes of Lemmings of the Light. All batteled bravely in the city, defeating enemy after enemy. Unfortunately, when the Old God was within their reach, the Argent Crusaders called all Heroes to report to the Argent Tournament Grounds in preparation for the attack on Ice Crown Citadel. The Lemmings of the Light chose to answer the call and left the Titan City, where the Old God remained.

Now that the Lemmings have entered Ice Crown Citadel and faced off against the minions of the Lich King, there is a stong voice coming from Ulduar that haunt the Heroes. There is unfinished business in Ulduar. The Old God still lives and the time has come to put him to rest once and for all.

After the run of Black Wing Lair last Sunday (which was a lot of fun) I was thinking to organize a raid to a pre WOTLK raid every week. Probably will have a Classic run on the uneven weeks and a TBC raid on the even weeks.

These raids are achievement raids. So the central theme of those raids are about fun and getting the final boss. I also try to make me comfortable with Raid leading and Master looting while doing these runs.

Just a moment ago I was tanking in ToC HC. We just started as I noticed something going on in guild chat. I realized it was Neti, but I was too busy to follow the guild chat (and, who listens to Neti anyway ). And then suddenly I noticed I was promoted to high lemming. Surprised and still busy, it took some time to give all of you my thank you speech (good thing though, otherwise it would be a long one ).

So for those who missed it (or where not present) thank you.

Though the pug group doesn't like my promotion. Was little off my focus because of it. Their message to me: n00b tank!!! Guess there is a first time for everything. xd We still cleared though btw.

Today I had my first real tanking experience, and though I still have to do lot's of work on it, it was a well done run imo. HoL HC was the place where it happened and we nearly had a full lemmings group (Gart had a bad internet connection and dced a lot, so we could replace him with his permission).

We didn't whipe once, though we had some losses, eventually leaving only me and spit fighting of 4 mobs. When that was done, I joked that usually I do more DPS.

Thanks to spit for an awesome healing job and thanks to Sephy for wispering me some advice wich I could use imediately. And nice to have Kris allong since I can't remember we had met before.

So with a little more practice, better rotation and the enchants still needed on the gear it won't be long before I'll be tanking more than that I dps.

I can say that I like tanking.
